Help Required

I formatted my pc yesterday, a couple of problems after the install again of windows 7, all drivers said to be up to date, sound coming from my monitor, but i don't have any coming from the audio jack. There's also a problem when i put a cd in to play, unresponsive. Any help appreciated.

PS, any driver downloads or sites need to be official, or ones where not any ad-ons involved. Cheers.;)

Loop playback of same bit, is there a cure

Hello guys,
I have just discovered Acestream and am enjoying watching the tennis... quite frequently the playback stops, and when I press play again, I get a repeat of the last two minutes or so, and it stops at the exact same place. I press stop, then play, and again it plays the same section and stops at the exact same place. If I press the LIVE button, it does not help.

Is this an issue with the software or with the stream itself? Is there a cure?

Possible virus injection Bloozeed Acestream

Hi folks,

Just got a virus blocked message whilst watching Bloodzeed Acestream of Liverpool. My virus popped up pointing to the roaming folder ace_player.exe, clicking it further gave the details of this:

Blocked URL get.down1oad4desktop/DownloadManager/GetMar?p

Win32:Evo-gen [Susp]

The only thing was I had no browser open I was watching the game. Very suspect to me just thought I would share, not sure what that was.

The Grand National Festival | April 3 - 5

The Grand National Festival 2014


The Grand National Festival 2014 will take place from Thursday 3rd to Saturday 5th April.

It may celebrate its 175th birthday this year but a significant new chapter will be added to Aintree’s long and illustrious history when the first £1m Grand National is run on Saturday April 5.

Aintree’s groundsmen have been putting the final touches to the Grand National’s famous obstacles, laying the distinctive green, freshly cut spruce over the fences’ new ‘plastic birch’ cores.

Becher’s Brook, named after Capt Becher who ended up getting a ducking there in the first national in 1939, Foinavon’s Fence, commemorating the famous pile up in 1969, the Canal Turn and Valentine’s will all be jumped twice during the four-and-a-half mile marathon. The Chair, the biggest fence on the course, will be jumped just once.

But this festival is about much more than just one race. The Grand National meeting begins on Thursday April 3 and builds up to the National two days later with some exceptional jump racing and where many winners from Cheltenham will turn out in a bid to complete the Cheltenham-Aintree double.

Each day boasts a race over the big jumps, on Thursday the amateur riders have their version of the National in the Foxhunters while the Topham Chase on Friday, Ladies’ day, is both a trial for future National horses and a consolation for horses which are not quite good enough to line up in the big one.

Arsenal:

Arsene Wenger is refusing to accept defeat in the Barclays Premier League title race as he prepares for Saturday's clash against rivals Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium.

Two sides seemingly with contrasting confidence levels clash this weekend when City head south searching for a sixth successive League clean sheet and buoyant after winning 3-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday. A comprehensive Manchester derby victory means City are third, three points ahead of Arsenal, and with two matches in hand on leaders Chelsea.

City may be flying, but Arsenal's own title challenge has taken a dent with defeats at Stoke City and Chelsea this month - the latter a 6-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge in Wenger's 1,000th match in charge – before a last-gasp own goal meant they had to settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw at home against Swansea City in midweek.

However, Wenger remains optimistic about his side's chances.

"It's all to go for I think, for everybody," the Frenchman told the club's official website. "Everybody speaks about Everton coming back on us [and challenging for fourth place]. Why should we then not come back on the teams who are in front of us?

"There's still a lot of turning games that will happen until the end of the season. But it's down to the quality of our performances. We don't think about the title race now, we think about winning again. So for us just to recover in a positive way against Swansea was very important. Now from that game, be positive again and win the next one.

Manchester City:

Manuel Pellegrini's City arrive in London in their best position yet to claim a first Barclays Premier League double over Arsenal following their 6-3 victory over the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium in December.

City's away-day Barclays Premier League matches are rarely dull as Pellegrini's side have scored 19 goals in their last seven League outings on the road.

There is no doubting who City's man of the moment is as Yaya Toure followed up his hat-trick in last Saturday's 5-0 victory over Fulham with his 17th League goal of the season at Manchester United.

Toure is one short of reaching the 50-goal barrier for the club he joined from Barcelona in 2010, which signals an incredible return from a midfielder, even one of the calibre of the Ivory Coast international.

Sergio Aguero (hamstring) would appear unlikely to return for City, along with Matija Nastasic (knee).

Arsene Wenger's men have taken just eight points from their last seven Premier League matches to fade from league leaders to rank outsiders to claim the top-flight crown.

City, meanwhile, are odds-on favourites for their second title in three years with a run of four successive victories cutting the gap to leaders Chelsea to just three points with two games in hand.

Another defeat for Arsenal at the hands of a key rival - they have already lost heavily to City, Chelsea and Liverpool this term - would leave them six points adrift of Manuel Pellegrini's men having played two matches more.

The humiliating 6-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge which overshadowed Wenger's 1,000th game at the helm remains fresh and raw in the memory, with the 2-2 home draw with struggling Swansea in midweek doing little to quell the concerns of supporters.

The Gunners cannot afford to be as slow out of the blocks as they were against Chelsea - falling 3-0 down inside 17 minutes - when they come up against a City side who went for the jugular against local rivals United in midweek to find the net with a mere 42 seconds gone.

Pellegrini's side went on to triumph 3-0 at Old Trafford in midweek as they overpowered and outclassed the outgoing Premier League champions in every department, with City having scored 11 goals without reply in their last four top-flight matches.

There have been six red cards in the last seven Premier League meetings between Man City (4) and Arsenal (2). Five of those have come in the last three meetings at the Emirates.

Manchester City scored six goals from just seven shots on target when they beat Arsenal 6-3 at the Etihad Stadium last December.





Not altogether looking forward to this match, but then again our home form against the other top four hasn't been too bad. If we put in a display anything like we did against Stoke, Chelsea or Swansea though it will be about 0-30!

A loss will end any hopes of the title we have and knock our already fragile confidence whilst a win will put us right back into it. Honestly I'd be happy with a draw at the moment, I think any chance of the league we had went at Chelsea but I don't want to be getting pulled into a top four fight once again.

(I can't remember the rules on thread starting (if there are any) so if this is too early my apologies but I don't think I'll have time tomorrow and didn't want us to go without again.)

Liverpool have no fresh injury concerns for the visit of Tottenham to Anfield.
Winger Raheem Sterling might therefore be forced to sit on the bench for the third consecutive game.

Tottenham's top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor is set to return to the line-up after missing last week's win over Southampton with a cut heel.

Defender Kyle Walker remains sidelined with a groin problem, while Vlad Chiriches begins his injury comeback for Tottenham's Under-21's on Friday.

If you had told a Tottenham fan back in August that they'd be five points clear of Manchester United in late March, they'd have been forgiven for assuming that Champions League football, at the very least, was returning to White Hart Lane.

In fact, the competition looks likely to elude Spurs again.

It's not impossible for Arsenal to be caught, certainly Arsene Wenger's men look by the far the least convincing of the top four just now. But even if the Gunners do stumble, Everton look in better shape than Tottenham to catch them.

But for Gylfi Sigurdsson's late winner against Southampton last Sunday you'd surely say the game was up already?

Liverpool had not been called upon to really scrap for a win for weeks, not until Sunderland's late rally at Anfield on Wednesday exposed the nervous underbelly to the swaggering incision of their forward play.

Tottenham will have taken note and may adopt a similar tactic; stay in sight for as long as possible and launch the cavalry late on.

But Liverpool's goalscoring stats are remarkable. Suarez and Sturridge, 28 and 23 goals respectively this season, have eclipsed half a century of celebrated goalscoring Anfield partnerships.

The records of Toshack and Keegan, Dalglish and Rush, Aldridge and Beardsley, Fowler and Collymore, Owen and Heskey have all been surpassed by the 51-goal partnership of the SAS.
Not since Roger Hunt and Ian St John in 1963-64 had a Liverpool front pair scored 20 league goals each in the same season.

In fact, Liverpool have scored 11 more goals in the first-half alone (51) this season than Spurs have managed in the whole of their league campaign.

Anfield is the ground at which Tim Sherwood enjoyed the crowning glory of his playing career when, as Blackburn captain, he lifted the Premier League title in 1995.
A win there on Sunday would shatter the form book, and be the best day yet in his fledgling managerial career.

Steve Bruce and Mark Hughes won the Double together 20 years ago, but that must seem a distant memory as they prepare to meet on Saturday.

Hull City manager Bruce was captain and Stoke City counterpart Hughes scored when Manchester United beat Chelsea 4-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley to secure the first league and cup Double in the club's history in 1994.

Bruce will be back at Wembley next month when his side face Sheffield United in the semi-final of this season's FA Cup, as he strives to win the famous trophy for the first time as a manager. But his immediate attention will be getting the better of his former team-mate in the Barclays Premier League encounter at the Britannia Stadium.

Bruce has admitted that he and Hughes have "a mutual respect, but it's not right to say we're pals." The Hull manager also revealed that the former United team-mates "did not speak for years" after Hughes recruited Mark Bowen, Bruce's assistant at Birmingham City and now in the same role at Stoke, to work with him for Wales and then Blackburn Rovers.

Stoke are going in search of a third consecutive victory after a 4-1 win at Aston Villa last Sunday that lifted them above Paul Lambert's side into 10th place. That was only their second away victory of the season in the Barclays Premier League and Stoke will fancy their chances of picking up another three points, given that Liverpool and Norwich City are the only side to have beaten them in their own backyard in the top flight this term. Stoke have suffered just one defeat in their last eight matches, a 1-0 loss at title-chasing Manchester City, and have won three of their last four matches.

Hull's last win at Stoke came back in January 2006, but they have drawn 1-1 in three of their last four trips to the Staffordshire club. Bruce will be looking to build momentum ahead of the trip to Wembley as his players attempt to cement their place in the starting line-up for the clash with Nigel Clough's League One side.

They will need to bounce back from their midweek Barclays Premier League disappointment against West Ham United, where they lost 2-1. That reverse also came at a cost, with goalkeeper Allan McGregor suffering a kidney injury as he fouled Mohamed Diame for the penalty.

"He's got contusion of his kidney, which we are hoping is not ruptured, but it looks a nasty one at the minute," Bruce said. George Boyd will also miss out as he serves the final game of his three-match ban.

Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam comes back into contention after serving a three-match ban, but Jonathan Walters sits out the final game of his suspension. Stephen Ireland is also available after being ineligible to face his former club Villa, but Oussama Assaidi is a doubt and Robert Huth (knee) is definitely out.

Vidic back for United


Captain Nemanja Vidic returns from suspension for Manchester United's Barclays Premier League game against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Striker Robin van Persie is out with a knee injury while centre-backs Chris Smalling (hamstring) and Jonny Evans (calf) are doubts.

The Villa game starts a potentially crucial week for manager David Moyes.

If results go against them on Saturday, United could be 15 points adrift of fourth place with six matches left.

The Red Devils then take on the all-conquering Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday night.

Moyes hopes his team can rebuild some of their confidence this weekend following their midweek defeat at the hands of neighbours Manchester City.

"We go into the Villa game knowing that we want to go into the Munich game in good fettle," he said.

"And we're looking forward to it because we played really well at West Ham and if we can follow up with a similar performance, I'll be more than happy.

"But then we play against maybe the best team in Europe in midweek, which we're looking forward to."

Villa look easy opponents for United on paper given their inconsistent form this year, although they did beat Chelsea two weeks ago.

Villa are 12th in the table. Some Villa fans expected more from their season, but Moyes thinks his opposite number Paul Lambert is doing a good job with the midlands outfit.

"I think Paul Lambert has had a difficult job there. He's had to alter the budget there and change a little bit of the way Villa have maybe done it in the past," he said.

"For such a big club to be in that position - they're obviously looking for more. But Paul has done a good job in bringing in lots of young players, sticking with them and trusting them."

Villa midfielder Karim El Ahmadi is a doubt due to a thigh problem.

The injury forced El Ahmadi to come off in the first half of the 4-1 home loss to Stoke last Sunday and Villa boss Lambert has said the Morocco international is "struggling" ahead of the trip.

Forward Andreas Weimann had to depart the field around the same time in the Stoke match because of a dead leg but is expected to be available.

Lambert has every faith his players can bounce back from their heavy loss to Stoke.

Villa were brought down to earth after back-to-back wins when they were thumped by the Potters.

Lambert was in no doubt that his side's performance on that occasion was "not good enough", but he is feeling optimistic about the prospect of Villa putting in a completely contrasting display at Old Trafford.

He said: "We had a chat this week and I told them my feelings on it (the Stoke match).

"To be fair to the lads, they have trained well. There's no hangover from it.

"One thing I've found is that the lads have always come out and tried to rectify things, and I'm pretty sure on Saturday it will be the same."
