Swansea will qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League if they win tonight's Group A fixture against Valencia at the Liberty Stadium.

Despite an impressive 3-0 success for the Swans at the Estadio de Mestalla in September, they currently trail the Spanish side by one point with two games remaining.

Michael Laudrup's side have drawn their last two games in the Europa League, both ending in 1-1 against Kuban Krasnodar. Meanwhile, Valencia have won their last three games in the competition since their humbling home defeat to the Swans two months ago.

Swansea have had an inconsistent start to the term, winning just four of their opening 12 Premier League fixtures. However, Saturday's victory over Fulham has propelled them into 10th place. Qualification for the next stage of the Europa League will cap off an impressive week for the South Wales side.

Despite a good run of form in Europe, Valencia have struggled to make an impact in La Liga so far and are on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Elche on Sunday, leaving Miroslav Djukic's side in 11th place.

If third-place St Gallen win their match against Kuban Krasnodar, Swansea will need at least a point to avoid a matchday six qualification shootout in Switzerland.

Swansea

The Swans are boosted by the news that former Valencia winger Pablo Hernandez is expected to make his comeback after a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury.

Wayne Routledge is doubtful for the match with a calf problem which ruled him out of Saturday's win over Fulham.

However, Michu (ankle) and Garry Monk (knee) have been ruled out for tonight's clash.

Valencia

Valencia have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match, with AC Milan-bound Adil Rami the only absentee through suspension.

The French defender was banned after publicly criticising Djukic and his team-mates, and hasn't featured since being sent off in their 3-0 defeat to Swansea over two months ago.

Rami is set to join Milan on loan in January after failing to return to the first team.
