Acestream no longer work

I thought there was a new version of acestream, so I decided to delete acestream(reinstalled it later) and then I realized I had an really old version of VLC, so I upgraded thatt too. And now I can't get it to work, I get frozen video and I can hear audio, but there's lots of buffering. Do I have a wrong version of VLC?
Now I have:
VLC 2.0.8
Acestream 2.1
