Users of the Current Version of StreamTorrent (v1.0 Build 0078) will have noticed a popup telling them that their version will expire in a few days, or has already expired, and asking if they want to download a new version. If you get this messafge, you should always click NO, because the site it takes you to is dead, and full of spam (or worse)
Instead, we have a solution for you here. You can obtaim StreamTorrent NE (Build 0075) by following these steps.
Step 1: Remove the old version
Step 2: Download the new version and Install it
Step 3: Run Streamtorrent NE and allow it through your Firewall
You should now be able to use StreamTorrent indefinitely. It should look and feel exactly as before. So, for example, clicking the hyperlink to an ST stream should automatically load the application and start the stream buffering.
If your stream does no connect after a few minutes, then you should first check that your firewall is not blocking StreamTorrent NE. If that has been correctly allowed, then try applying the Not Connecting Patch
I regret my knowledge does not extend to Mac O/S or Linux. But if I can help further, then please post in this thread, and I will do my best to get you fixed up.
I take no credit for the code. That was done by a third party originally found by our dear friend DEAD_MAN_WALKING and I dedicate this to his memory. All I have done is to test it exhaustively and written up these notes for installation.
Instead, we have a solution for you here. You can obtaim StreamTorrent NE (Build 0075) by following these steps.
Step 1: Remove the old version
It is essential that you remove the old version by using Control Panel. The new version is placed in a different folder, so does not over-write the existing version. If you don't complete this step properly, you will have two veraiona on your system, leading to major problems
In particular do NOT use any third party uninstallers like Revo or CCleaner. These will remove your existing StremTorrent configuration files and you will lose your stream lists and also the data files you need to avoid the dreaded Red X and an inability to connect.
Fore the sake of completeness I have detailed the steps for different operating systems in the next post

Step 2: Download the new version and Install it
Download the StreamTorrent NE. Run the program following the prompts as you progress.
Step 3: Run Streamtorrent NE and allow it through your Firewall
The first time you run StreamTorrent NE, your firewall should prompt you to allow or deny access. Click "Allow". If you are not prompted by your firewall, you will need to add it manually. Your existing premissions will not apply, because the program has a different name to the current version of StreamTorrent.
