Match preview:

Swansea will look to stay in the race for a top four spot as the take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Both sides enter the game on the back of a defeat - Swansea lost 3-1 to West Ham last week, and Tottenham failed to secure top spot in their Europa League group by losing 1-0 to Besiktas on Thursday.

The loss meant Tottenham finish second in their group and will face a tougher draw in the next round.

Mauricio Pochettino decided to swap his team around with 10 changes for the game in Turkey, with the loss only increasing the pressure the manager has been under lately.

Team news:

Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson faces his old club on Sunday after he left London to return to the Welsh club last summer. The Icelandic international has scored three goals so far and has played a big part in leading Swansea to eighth position this season.

It is expected Tottenham will still be without striker Emmanuel Adebayor who was given permission to fly back to Togo, his home country, earlier this week for personal reasons.

Wilfried Bony will be leading the attack again for the Swans. The Ivorian striker is in fine form, with seven goals in his last seven games.

Match notes:

Spurs are not in for an easy game on Sunday. Their loss last Thursday will have further dented the team’s confidence and Pochettino's men could move into the bottom half of the division with another defeat.

Despite a loss for the Swans last week, Garry Monk’s side have looked very good this year. Although Swansea have not secured a win over Tottenham in the past three years.

Stats:

Ivorian striker Bony has netted seven times in his last nine Premier League appearances.

Swansea have lost one home game this season

Tottenham have conceded six goals in the opening 15 minutes of matches this season, more than any other club.
