BARCLAYS PREMIER LEAGUE

Venue: Selhurst Park Date: Monday, 3 November

Crystal Palace play host to Sunderland at Selhurst Park in the Monday Night Football with both sides in desperate need of three points.

Sunderland are third from bottom of the table with pressure growing on Gus Poyet after their humiliating 8-0 defeat to Southampton in their last away game.

Palace are just one point and two places better off than Sunderland after picking up just two wins so far this season.

However, Palace enjoy a good home record against Sunderland having won their last four home games in all competitions against the Black Cats.

Selhurst Park does not hold good memories for Sunderland as it is 19 years since they claimed three points there and they have yet to win away from home this term.

Both sides will be looking for a positive result as they look to move clear of trouble and ensure they are not going to be involved in another relegation battle this season.

Team news

Scott Dann will be given until the last minute to prove his fitness for Crystal Palace's clash with Sunderland.

The centre-back is yet to return to full training after knee trouble, but Eagles boss Neil Warnock is ready to give him every chance of facing the Black Cats.

Midfielder James McArthur could also return after a hip complaint, while Damien Delaney is available after serving a one-match ban.

Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher will be available for the game despite picking up a knock last week.

The Scotland international limped off shortly after half-time in last Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Arsenal with a foot problem, but has recovered and is expected to resume at Selhurst Park, while there could be a debut for full-back Anthony Reveillere.

However, there is no other good news for head coach Gus Poyet with defenders Sebastian Coates (thigh) and Billy Jones (hamstring) and midfielders Ricky Alvarez (knee) and Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle) still on the sidelines.
