TEAM NEWS

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers will make wholesale changes to the side that drew with Hull on Saturday.
Rickie Lambert is set to start, while youngster Jordan Rossiter may feature again after scoring in the last round.

Swansea manager Garry Monk will resist the temptation to rest a host of his first-team players.
Gerhard Tremmel is expected to replace Lukasz Fabianski in goal and Gylfi Sigurdsson may sit this game out after limping off against Leicester.

MATCH PREVIEW

The last time these two clubs met in the League Cup back in October 2012, Swansea produced a sensational performance to win 3-1 and reach the quarter-finals for the first time in their history, before famously going on to lift the trophy.
They will fancy their chances of a repeat performance at Anfield against a Liverpool side still desperately trying to find their form this season.

Brendan Rodgers' side were again out of sorts against Hull on Saturday, but at least their much maligned defence managed to keep a clean sheet for only the second time in 13 matches this campaign.

This is Swansea's second successive tie against a Merseyside club having swept aside Everton in round three and manager Garry Monk, who was club captain when they won this trophy in 2013, says his side will be going all out to win.
"We have to take it [the League Cup] seriously," he said.
"It's a cup that we've done very well in in the past, having won it in recent history, and it's one that we'd like to do well in again.
"It's one that we're really excited about - we go up there with nothing to lose,"
