Acestream not started Matricom MX Android TV Box

Hi All

I recently bought a Matricom MX G Box as a 2nd TV box for the bedroom
It is a standard MX with Dual Cortex A9 1.5ghz
Android Jelly Bean
XBMC pre installed by supplier
My ISP is Virgin Media via fiber optic 50mb

My problem is with the P2P streams addon in XBMC.
Initially I installed it to use the internal Ace stream engine.
No streams would load.
I have traced the problem to the Acestreams engine failing to connect.
I downloaded the latest version of Acestreams from their website.
Installed it then when I ran it the unpacking process completed but when it tried to load it came up with the Start Failed message at the bottom.
Uninstalled and re-installed a number of times and no joy
Required ports are open on my router and indeed my other box a M8 quad core works ok using P2P streams, usual buffering aside, so I don't think its an problem with Virgin per Se?

Need help folks as I have searched the internet and cannot find a solution!!
Just wanna watch goals on Sunday in bed while I nurse my hangover
