Apologies if this thread/topic has been mentioned elsewhere, but I've checked the forums thoroughly and have yet to find someone with the same or similar issue.
My experience with AceStream is generally very good - my internet runs at a steady 50mb/s dl and 3.5mb/s ul. For whatever reason, however, my experience with the Sky Sports streams are not so good. These are the streams which run at 950kb/s bitrate. Although I'm aware that my internet speed can (and does) drop and fluctuate, even when it is running "slowly", I'm still able to connect to the higher bitrate streams from other providers without a hitch, but these Sky Sports streams are something different entirely.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem? I'm beginning to suspect that the streams aren't very reliable. I obviously switch to another stream if it's having difficulties, but I do like to get English commentary whenever I can.
Weirdly, the Sky Sports streams seem to buffer very quickly (the quickest out of 99% of streams I've used), play for around a minute or so, then buffer indefinitely/stop all together. I have found that the Sky Sports 5 stream does the same, but usually ends up sorting itself out. Same with the Sky Sports F1 stream. 1-4 simply do not work for me at all.
AceStream version: 2.2.10
VLC version: 2.0.5
Internet connection: anywhere from 25-50mb/s dl and 2.5-3.5mb/s ul
Country: England
ISP: Virgin Media
PC Spec: I use tablet/phone/laptop/pc, all experience problems with these specific streams
Operating system: Windows 7, latest Android
Some extra info - I'm aware this could also be an ISP issue, however using a VPN didn't sort anything out so I'm unsure how else I could troubleshoot it for that. I've also uninstalled (completely) AceStream and re-installed it, and the recent update to 2.2.10 didn't change anything either.
Willing to try anything that anyone suggests to improve my experience with these streams, thanks in advance for any help!
