Rock bottom Fulham host Champions League hunting Everton on Sunday in a game which could have repercussions at both ends of the Premier League table.

Fulham go in search of only a second win over the Toffees in five years as their struggle to retain top-flight status rumbles on, while victory for Everton will see them keep pressure on fourth-placed Arsenal as they continue to vie for a spot in Europe's elite competition.

Fulham will have to rely heavily on home form if they are to beat the drop and will be hoping to make it back-to-back wins at Craven Cottage.

Felix Magath's side have managed four victories at home so far this term, their latest coming earlier this month when they beat Newcastle 1-0.

Victory over Newcastle brought to an end a run of nine winless matches for the Cottagers, before they returned to losing ways last weekend.

Manchester City raced to a 5-0 victory over Fulham and Magath's men must bounce back with immediate effect if their chances of survival are to be prolonged.

Everton come into the game having bucked a run of four successive away defeats with a 3-0 victory over Newcastle in midweek.

Ross Barkley, Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman all netted as Roberto Martinez's side moved within six points of Arsenal, who currently occupy the final Champions League place.

Martinez could lead Everton to five straight Premier League victories on Sunday, a feat they have not achieved for almost 12 years.
